Our Story

ifá is a Yoruba system of divination, spirituality, and philosophy that originates from West Africa, particularly among the Yoruba people of Nigeria. It is both a religious practice and a body of knowledge used to understand destiny, solve problems, and maintain harmony with spiritual forces.

Orunmila: The Orisa (deity) of wisdom, knowledge, and divination. He is the custodian of Ifá and reveals divine messages through the oracle.
Babalawo/Iyanifa: A priest (male or female) trained in the art of Ifá divination. They interpret the messages from Orunmila using sacred tools.
Odu Ifá: The 256 sacred texts or patterns of wisdom in Ifá. Each Odu contains hundreds of verses (ese Ifá) with parables, history, spiritual guidance, and moral teachings

Ebo (sacrifice or offering): Prescribed actions or rituals to realign one’s destiny or correct imbalances revealed during a reading.
